I didn't sleep all night, because all my machines were going off, or the baby didn't like my position so they had to re-adjust the monitor, or I couldn't get comfortable. I was also having light contractions.

So next morning say about 7 a.m the doctor checks me and I'm four centimeters then he breaks my water and my contractions start really taking off and being painful. I was having two back to back, then I would get 1-3 minutes and have it start over again. I was also feeling lots of pressure in my lower parts. So I told the nurse. She checked me 30 minutes after the doctor did and I had shot up to 6 centimeters already and the baby's head was really far down. 

So the nurse and me realized that the baby was coming and quick. So she went to make sure the guy was coming to put in my epidural (I know I'm a wimp) but I couldn't take it any longer. She also got the other nurses to prepare for the babies arrival. 

So I'm trying to breathe and get through my contractions. Counting down till the guy showed up to give me my epidural. So finally I get the epidural and it finally kicks in. Then the nurse checks me again she says "Yep your ready to have this baby, we need the doctor now".

 

I was feeling really good once the epidural had kicked in so I was OK with waiting for the doctor but the baby was coming on his own even with out me doing anything.

Doctor gets there, gets suited up I start pushing and the baby is out in 4 pushes so one whole pushing and he was out.

So that was quick and one heck of a labour/delivery.

My fourth child and my second son. He came out 8lbs and 3 Oz, 21 inches long.
