baby breastfeeding!!?

I gave birth yesterday aftermoon ad bby has done great drinking milk from my boobs yet is now 4am and is time for him to eat but he doesnt want to
He only wants to sleep
Is that bad? :(

You will find alot of different opinions about this... i never woke my 6 year old to feed when she was a baby... she went 4 hours during the day and 6 ar night and if she slept longer then i looked at that as a bonus lol  and she put weight on fine. Try letting them sleep and see how long they go and how much they drink when they wake up, im not going to wake this baby up when i have her to feed i know she will wake up when shes hungry. If they are feeding regularly the majority of the time i cant see anything wrong with it.

You could always unwrap baby and do skin to skin to see if that sparks an interest?

I am no expert, besides nursing my 1st for a year. I was told in the hospital when I had him to wake him every 3 hours to feed and try and keep him awake through a feeding because he kept falling asleep. I would take his clothes off and do skin to skin to wake him up a bit. Once he was home w me I set my alarm every three hours to feed but he woke up on his own by that point every 3 anyway. He was a good eater and has been in the 99% for height and weight ever since he was born.

No just lay him on you he will eat when he ready . Try to see if you can wake him if not its ok trust me he wake up when he ready .

It's normal for them to not feed for very long but if you're worried that he's not feeding for long enough and if he's falling asleep while eating you can stroke his forehead while he feeds to keep him awake.
