My doc said the first signs of dehydration can be cramping in the uterus. After a bleed at 5 weeks I've been extra careful since then. It's tough cause in the mornings all water tastes like chlorine to me! But I make up for it in the afternoons when I start to feel better. Pregnancy is weird....

I don't know about complications to the baby but if you get dehydrated that's not safe even if you're not pregnant. It also helps refresh your amniotic fluid. Early in my pregnancy I had a hard time drinking water so I would put 2-3 ounces of a juice I like in a water bottle with about 20 ounces of water. Did that about 3-4 times a day to make sure I got enough.
