Considering that all types of birth control have some risk of failing, using a condom is still a good idea for extra insurance.

i agree with katty ^^. ALSO using a condom helps prevent you from getting STI's, and hormonal birth control doesn't. so it's a good idea to always use some form of "barrier method" which is the skin-skin types of birth control. if penis condoms aren't ur guys' thing i would investigate some other barrier methods that might fit with you guys more, like the 'female' or internal condom (goes in the vagina or anus as opposed to around a penis.)
