decreased movement?

38 weeks, 2 days here. No other prelabor symptoms than usual, except baby boy has had a significant decrease in movement today. Is this common?

I am 38 weeks today. He was being lazy for the last two days and then today he's decided to be a little jumping bean and move around constantly. I think they still just have some lazy days. I did hear that sometimes they get lazy for a few days then pick up movement right before labor but that might be an old wives tale also.
