Harpers birth story! ❤️❤️
I went in for an induction March 29th at 9:30 pm. I was dilated 2cm and around 11 I revieved a pill to soften and shorten my cervix. I was checked at 3 am and I was still the same so they inserted another pill. I then asked for a ball to bounce on and shortly after getting on my water broke. About and hour later contractions started. I went in with the mind frame of not getting any pain meds so I laid down so I could breathe through the contractions. They started getting so intense and were coming in clusters. I would get 3 back to back then none for 4 mins then another 3, at that point I thought I was going to die lol. I threw up from being in so much pain. Around 7 am I was checked and almost completely thinned out and 4 cm dilated. The nurse decided against giving me pitocen because my body was already naturAlly going into labor. (Thank the heavens because I heard the contractions on pitocen are worse than natural ones!) I decided to get an epidural because I could not take the pain anymore. I went to the bathroom for the last time before the epidural and threw up on the toilet 😷 The anesthesiologist came around 930 and I was able to rest in between contractions(I could still feel pressure in my butt which hurt 😫). I was checked again at 11 ish and was dilated to 8/9. The nurse decided to just let the baby labor down a bit more in the birth canal. At 1230 I was checked and there was her head. At 1250 started pushing( after breaking out in tears because I was tired and didn't want to push lol) and at 1:14 my baby girl arrived! Sure I have 6 stitches, pooped on myself and will never ever have another baby ever lol but I have a gorgeous 7 pound 1.6 ounce 18.5 inch long baby girl! I love her so much ❤️
