carrying high or low? idk how to tell

I've always heard the old wives tales about if you carry higher it's a girl, if you carry lower it's a boy; but I guess I just have trouble identifying if I'm carrying high or low. I fee stupid for asking, but how can I not tell? 
I already know what I'm having, but can you tell me what you think I'm having and if I'm carrying high or low?

How far along are you? At 16 weeks, the top of the uterus is only halfway up to the belly button. So, we all carry "low" early on. I don't think that wives' tale really applies until third trimester when you have a full bump.

Its too early to tell... if you're carrying low.  We're all carrying low at this point.  I wish I could call the little pudge over my belly button baby, but... i know it's just fat Hahahaha 😂

Actually the uterus is way up above your belly button at 16 weeks. My doctor felt mine & I can feel it too, you probably can too if you push on yourself inches above your belly button. You look like you're carrying more low but you're not really big enough to fully tell yet!

You look similar to me with my 2 boys. Many friends who had girl had more equally round wide tummy. With boys I had low pointy tummy couldn't even tell from behind lol. But that's just my guess :)

I carried pretty low with my first baby and I had a girl! At my baby shower all the elderly women were saying how my baby had already dropped and I was like umm no she's just been this low the whole time haha! It felt like she was in between my legs all the time!
