My ex and I dated for a year. We were so in love. Planned to get married and have kids, the whole shebang. We had a fairly civil end to our relationship. 4 years later we have kids with other people but still talk on a regular basis. We're still close. I believe that we were meant to be in each other's lives in one way or another. He knows me better than anyone else and vice versa. Sometimes people are much better off as friends than lovers, regardless of your history.
