Nope, not at all. There's one moment when you can kind of feel the catheter they use, but it doesn't hurt. I had some cramps after, but nothing major. It was so much easier than I thought!

I've had 4. My first was incredibly painful and my last I felt nothing. My doctor explained to me that it is painful if the sperm is still "dirty" after the wash because when they insert It Into the uterus, the uterus basically gets pissed off and contracts because there is stuff other than sperm in there. My husband's sperm was not great at first. But he totally changed his diet and took male fertility vitamins and by the time we did our fourth, the doctor said it looked perfect. So it makes sense in our case. But I'm sure there are other things that could cause pain/discomfort.

No it wasn't for me. I did have some cramping afterwards but it wasn't bad at all.

I found IUI better than a pap and also easier than trans vaginal ultrasounds! I've been through so many of those ultrasounds and they still continue to be extremely uncomfortable for me!?

Not painful. The worst part for me on one of our iui attempts was the speculum bcz my cervix was hard to find and open. But my other two times, I literally felt nothing. Not even the catheter. No cramping either unless they depress the syring too fast.

Nope.  Similar to a pap really. The most uncomfortable part was the speculum placement.

It was uncomfortable and I had cramping for a few days after. But I wouldn't call it painful. :)
