Just wondering how many of us have ditched gender roles and expectations and just went for it. Please leave a comment those that did, how did it go? Did it work out?

I'd been in relationships before but my current relationship went a little differently lol
He messaged me first, we met for lunch the next day, and I made the first move for the 1st kiss. He had just stood there awkwardly in the parking lot with me afterwards, asking "so what now" and I said "how about this" and kissed him. He thought it was hot and we went out for dinner the next day lol
Now a little over a year later, we're engaged and living together with our Husky puppy 😊❤️

We did change our wedding date since this picture but that's okay 😊❤️

We were messaging (we spoke as friends a few times) and we decided he'd come to mine to watch films because we were both off work and bored. After about an hour (he was coming over later) he messaged and went "what should we watch? I'll get a movie! Also why did you ask me round haha" so I went "well... I like you, as in like you like you... In that way" hahaha such a  cringe!! But he just said okay so thought I'd been rejected haha

He came round and didn't mention it and we stuck a film on and were just chatting, not bringing up the message haha then after about half an hour he leaned over and kissed me then said "well I really hope it was you that messaged... Otherwise this is awkward" and let out a nervous laugh

Because we messaged at different times he thought someone had seen he was coming over and messaged off my phone bless him haha

The burden of pursuit always falls onto men, but the thing is, they want to feel desired too, so when they're approached by women they don't know what hit 'em! Had I not initiated my last relationship, it would have never happened, because he wasn't very confident and actually kinda intimidated by me. Pursuing as a woman definitely makes you stand out as confident and aggressive (in a good way), so it's definitely something more girls and women should at least attempt.
