Both my babies were winter babies and they got knit hats from the birthing center.

Yep. It isn't cold where I live (Southern California) but we still got a cute little hat.

We live in massachusetts and I've only delivered in the winter . Both deliveries the baby was dressed in a hat and a long sleeved shirt type deal afterward.  I didn't even dress the baby in clothes from home until I was ready to leave the hospital ! They checked the baby so much it would have been a Hassle to unbutton and entire outfit everytime.  I'm due the first week of June this time so I'm thinking no to the hat,  but idk.  Good question??! Following.  ..

No hat, delivered in March in Norway. They didn't even put clothes on him, just swaddling and a baby duvet

After he was bathed my hospital has people Make hats and blankets so he got both
