birth control and babies?

Hey ladies. So I've been scrolling down the feed for a while,  and I've seen many ladies say they've quit the pill or got an implant out, and are having trouble conceiving. I've been on the pill for 3/4 years. Now I'm starting to worry because I want a family one day. Any ladies have advise?

I don't think there have been any studies that show that being on birth control messes with your fertility. That may be just those particular people. I wouldn't worry.

No way it will not mess up ur fertility... Probably those ladies had other problems.. But not the implant

I was on the pill when I got pregnant, I wouldn't worry too much depending on the type of birth control. Different types of birth control can really mess with your body and cause you to become less fertile.

My mom was on the pill for the first 4 months of being pregnant with me because she doesn't get symptoms

I took the pill for 3-4 years, stopped three months ago. Tried to concieve for two months and I'm five weeks pregnant, has nothing to do with the pill.

I've had both happen to me.. I was on the pill for 10 years total.. when I'd been on the pill for about 7 years I started the pack 4 days late and took the morning after pill and got pregnant with twins (I ovulated 2 eggs but had an ectopic and lost the pregnancy ). Then stayed on the pill 3 more years and when I got off I didn't ovulate for a few months and even when I did it took me a year to get pregnant. I can say I was on a different pill the last 2 years.

I had the implant for 3 yrs. & got it taken out in Nov. 2016 and  I switched to the pill a week later because I was scared to get automatically pregnant but now I want a baby and I stopped taking the pills in at the end of January 2017. And iv been trying ever since and still nothing. But I'm patently waiting & hoping I will . But every woman is different and it just takes time I guess! But don't stress yourself!

I've had the iud for 5 years and I've had it out for 2 months now and actively trying and still nothing 😤

I got off the pill the end of November 2016 and got pregnant in January after being on the pill for two years. But it's going to be different for everyone !
