Do you talk to your belly?

Question

When I go to my grandma's house she always ask me if I talk to my belly, I don't feel comfortable doing that, to me that is weird. I do like to rub my belly a lot tho.
She says that I have to talk to my baby because it needs to feel loved, I really do love my baby a lot but I just don't feel like talking to my belly! 
Do you talk to your belly? What are your opinions on this?

A lot of the time I'm saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THERE" because my son likes to stick his butt in my rib and foot in my lung 😂 or he pushes all to one side and my stomach looks like a mountain 😂😂

My hubby talks to my belly too and gives it kisses before he goes to work.

No, i felt weird. She could hear me talking all the time. I didn't need to talk specifically to my stomach

I read books and sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to my first. He's 18 months now & loves books & Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It's the only song he'll let me sing to him if he's being fussy. I haven't really did much with this baby unless I'm reading to my son (which I guess counts).

It's not talking to an  IT,  it's talking to your baby because he or she can hear you. When baby is born he or she will be able to recognize your voice. It's actually a way of bonding too. I've read up a lot on the importance of talking to your baby and it's very important and the benefits are wonderful.

I talk and read children's books to my belly everyday! My husband also reads and talks to the belly!!

The baby can't 'feel loved' it has no feelings at this point & it's not like he/she understands what you're saying lol. Not trying to sound harsh just speaking from a scientific standpoint. It's fine not to talk to your belly. I do sometimes just for fun

I felt awkward in the first trimester because I looked at it as my belly but after I saw my baby in the first ultrasound, I've always looked at it as my baby, not my belly. It was only after that that I started talking to him. From 17 weeks on, I talk to my baby every single day as his ears have developed around then 😘😍😉

I never talk to my belly and my boyfriend doesn't either lol.
