Can LH show up before HCG does?

Basically, what I'm asking is.... if I take an ovulation test when it's a tad too early to test for pregnancy, and it shows a surge, could this be an indication of early pregnancy?

Yes. I use digital OPKs and that's how I knew I was pregnant. I didn't have any pregnancy tests in the house and I had like 3 OPKs left so I just peed on them for no real reason. Got positives 3 days in a row. When I finally took a pregnancy test like 3 days after that, it was super positive, very dark line.

HCG will show up on an LH test, but the LH tests are no more sensitive than a pregnancy test, so if the LH test a showing and the hCG test is not, then it's probably just LH in your system. You may be having a secondary surge.

I have heard that some women have positive ovulation tests in pregnancy but I don't think it's possible because once you get pregnant your body doesn't have a reason to produce eggs.. so maybe they confuse positive with negative because there is always a line at ovulation tests but it's positive only when it's dark enough

You always have a slight LH surge. So, if you take an ovulation test, it'll always show a faint line.
