Not Ovulating. Any ideas??

Went to the dr Thursday and told him for the last three months I've been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests and I've gotten a "high" reading for ten days in a row but never a peak reading. I told my dr this and he told me to just keep trying for the next 5-6 months then we will go from there. But he gave me no info on what I could do to help myself ovulate?! Idk how he expects me to keep trying if I'm not ovulating, then is there a point? I also don't understand how I could get a high ready but not ever get a peak reading?
