probiotic drops for tummy pain?

My baby is 6 weeks on enfamil gentlease, she eats well and wets her diapers a lot, but everytime she poops she screams like she is in pain... is anybody going thru the same thing? The doctor told me to try mother bliss probiotic drops.. its been 3 days now and I don't see a difference.. any suggestions?

We use gerber soothe colic probiotic drops- and it takes a couple weeks to see a difference so I would continue them. But we use those everyday, and he is in Zantac for reflux and we still use gripe water if it's apparent he is having problems. The key for us is burp burp burp. Seriously. When he is fussy we burp him (could take 20 min) and he is magically all better. Even tho we constantly burp him there seems to be some stuck if he starts to cry. Makes a world of a difference!!! Dr told us the milk is coming back up and it's causing him to sound so congested... milk even comes out of his nose :( since we started burning 3x's the normal he is a different baby.

When my daughter is like that I give her prune juice, just an ounce in one bottle and a couple ounces a day usually helps her make a normal mushy diaper and gives her relief. I also use gas drops and gripe water as well when it's bad. I'm hoping my doctor will put her on Zantac next time we go. She's on lactose intolerant formula right now.

I tried the probiotic drops with my son and thought it made things worse. I stopped using them and now switch between gripe water and little remedies gas relief drops. Since then he's been a different baby and happy. The relief is almost instant. Also, he ended up having reflux so the doctor put him on Zantac after I told her the probiotics made things worse. He was screaming in pain almost every second that he was awake. He would wake up from a sleep screaming. It was so heart wrenching
