6 month old and cold/ flu
Two days ago I had an emergency and had nobody else to baby sit my daughter, but my sister. She told me she was getting over the flu. I had no choice.
Last night my 6 month old started a dry caugh right before bed time routine. I found her behavior overall very weird and told my fiance to keep a close eye on her. At 4 am, she was caughing and spiked a fever at 100.04.
Called on call nurse..they said Tylenol. She's getting Tylenol already at night, due to her two teeth that popped last two weeks...
She's always been constipated, yet last night blew up with...almost diarea. So...she's dehydrated. She's eating as usual. Gave her another dose of Tylenol on the spot at 4 am. She's been on my chest, or on my fiance's chest all night, due to the dry caugh not letting her lay down. Up every 20 min. Her hands are really cold. . Yet, through all this. ..she's still able to blow us a raspberry or two. ..letting us know she's... still trying to be her usual happy self. Fever was checked every 30 minutes. Went down within minutes of giving Tylenol. 98.6- 99.
Taking her in to be seen, even though I was told that there's nothing to give her for caugh, and other than that, only Tylenol.
And we pulled out the humidifier, along with that, I will be doing the steamy bath as well.
I guess I'm just looking for reassurance, that it's not that bad...ftm and this is the first time my daughter has gotten sick at all. .
