Blankets?

Question

When can you start letting them use a blanket at night?  Mine still just loves to play with them so not sure he's ready but we've been having some surprising random really cold nights

My LO has always had a blanket, and he's a tummy sleeper. He doesn't even fuss with the blanket, he scratches at his sheets to soothe so I have no worries with him pulling it up to him while sleeping

We use sleep sacks. Just comfy Carter ones.

No blankets but we have flannel pjs or a sleepsack and we put our infrared heater in her room to make sure at least her room stays nice and warm 😊

My lo has used a blanket since day 1 from the hospital. She has also been a tummy sleeper since day 1. I usually lay it on her and tuck it under her arms but now she likes to tug on a corner to self soothe. If it helps we have a movement sensor monitor so I don't lose my mind lol

My son is almost 6 months. He will only sleep on his belly so sleep sacks are uncomfortable for him. We started using a blanket because his room is always cold for some reason. He doesn't even touch it, it stays where we leave it so I'm not worried about it. If your baby's pulling on it and rolling around, it may not work

12 months+. Even breathable ones pose a strangulation hazard. 
There are a lot of wearable blankets on the market that are very safe 🙂

We use a crocheted baby blanket  with holes in it just in case my son pulls it up over his head. I usually tuck it around him, and haven't had issues with it moving. I know you're really not supposed to use them, but he loves to push his fingers into it and I think it helps him self soothe back to sleep. He also gets really cold at night and it's hard to keep him warm enough without it.
