Pregnant with IUD?

I just had my baby boy January 23 2017. I had my iud put in on March 20th and my SO and i have been having sex ever since without a condom. I recently had quite a bit of mucousy discharge with a tinge of blood (more pink than red) when i wiped. I had the same with both my kids before finding out i was pregnant. I also cant seem to find the iud strings. I already set up an appointment so my ob can check the placement but im wondering if anyone has actually gotten pregnant with an iud? If so, did you have any complications like it being ectopic or anything else? I know the chances of pregnancy are low thats why im wondering if it has ever happened in actuality

I got preg with copper iud. 34 weeks now. Everything looks normal on an US.

My cousin got pregnant with the iud in and had a healthy baby boy. I wouldn't trust it at all.

My little sister did after hers go knocked out of place without her knowing.

I did, but that was because it had fallen out, so not technically with it in. The doctor said the strings might have got caught in a tampon and pulled out, so when I went back in they cut the strings shorter and it stayed in place for five years until I removed it.

My best friend got pregnant with twins with an IUD in. If it has shifted at all you can get pregnant. Hers was in place for over a year. She said her only symptom was some cramping. After the fact they told her cramping is a sign that the iud has shifted and you should always go have it checked if you experience any cramping.
