birth plans??

So my husband and I went to my appt at 12 weeks and dr asked about our birth plan (I'm 16 weeks now) this is my husband first and my third.Last 2 deliveries were emergency c section the first was bc baby heart rate was dropping second one due to preeclampsia and help syndrome. So I instantly said a c section due to the anxiety of having to deal with a emergency one. My husband is very supportive and is leaving the decision up to me after thinking I believe I am going to go with VBAC and just pray everything goes well but in the back of mine I'm still undecided there  risk either way but seems their greater towards baby during vbac with possibly having my uterus ruptureing . I'm so lost and confused has anyone had a successful vbac after 1 or more cesareans ???

I was always told with 1 csection you can try vbac but after 2 you can't. What did your Dr say about vbac after 2 csections?

Me!! i had a vbac 3 months ago after having a c-section with first baby 11 yrs ago.. it went great, would do it over again even though i had to be induced at 3 cm and was in labor for 27 hrs. I was super worried too but the experience was the opposite of my experience with a c-section. With my c-section I needed a blood transfusion, and then 3 days after being discharged from the hospital, had to go back for a week bc my incision got infected. With my vbac i did have a 3rd degree tear, but was up and walking the same day, which was amazing. 😔 Hope this put your mind at ease some! You'll do great, good luck 🙂

Will your doctor let you do a VBAC?  I'm curious because I had an emergency c section and have had 2 VBACS. Every doctor is different, but my doctor said more then 2 c sections means always a c section. I'm sure this isn't the case everywhere, but for liability issues for doctors and the uterus rupturing from two weakened incision sites, it seems to be the norm. That being said, my VBACS were successful and the recovery was 1/10 the time and 1/10 the pain.

Vbac after c section...even multiple sections is safer than another c section. The risk of uterine rupture is miniscule

There are actually more risks from csections (surgery) than your chances of uterine rupture. Even if you start labor and switch to a csection it's been shown to be beneficial to the baby. Plenty of women have vba2c, but this will be your last opportunity for one. Talk to your OB about it!
