'Hi, my name is'...good or bad idea?

Is it stupid to get like name tags like this for the baby shower? I'm having a lot of people from my family and my boyfriends mom and sister plus people from his moms work since they have family in the states. I'm getting anxious since there will be so many people. Is this a stupid thing to do? If you went to a shower would you wanna wear one?

It might be a fun idea to have everyone also say their relation to the baby (or you). Like "Hi my name is _______ and I'm the mom-to-be's ________." I totally get your problem. It's sometimes awkward mixing families and friends. I think it's cute and nice ice breaker.

My mum organised my baby shower and didnt know much people there (25 ppl went) and she didnt wanna feel rude calling out for ppl not knowing ppls names for prizes etc so i think it's fine.  Would suck saying sorry what's ur name to some ppl and not others:) and the communication between everyone was who they were to me etc rather then whats 24 other ppls names ( which is almost impossible to remember)

It's good for shy people because not everyone is comfortable with mingling or introducing theirself. It's kind of like an ice breaker for the layed back or shy type.

I HATE sticky name tags. They get caught in my hair and I've had them leave residue on my nicer dresses that doesn't come out easily.

I don't think it's a big deal, I'd wear one. I didn't do it with mine because it wasn't a huge shower. But I could see the use. At my friend's baby shower everyone went around and introduced themselves and said how the knew the mom to be.

We wore them at my cousin's bridal shower & they said who we were (bridesmaid, etc) I don't think you need to go that far but the name tags are fine
