I started on the combined pill at 18-years-old, was on it for 7 years followed by progesterone only pill for 3 years, having stopped taking it in November 2016. Before starting the pill I had extremely regular 28 day cycles. At some point my mom was on the pill while I was not and our cycles even matched 100%.

It took me 2-3 weeks to get a period after stopping the pill, and since then my cycles have been completely different, they've been around 23-25 days long and based on symptoms/CM/moods I think the lutheal phase has been around 10 days on most cycles.

I know it might be that my body is still adjusting after stopping the pill, but I am concerned something else might be wrong considering I had been so regular before. Also my mom has PCOS which I have never been tested for, and it scares me to think it might have the same condition..

Anyone wants to share their experience on what happened after you stopped taking the pill?
