1cm dilated and 80% effaced?

I'm 37w and 2 days. My mother and her friends all say that doesn't mean anything but if I'm pretty thinned out so if I walk a lot and have sex could it make the baby come? I know there's no solid answer but just your thoughts 🤔

Dilation really doesn't mean much unfortunately, especially if you're not contracting. But walking around and sex may speed up the process 😊

Get a yoga ball and bounce, do circles with your hips, figure 8s. It should help bring baby down making you dilate more.

I have been at 1cm & 80% effaced for over 3 weeks now (currently 40w 1 d). They even tried to induce me last week & I didn't dilate anymore... everyone is different though!! Hopefully you will progress & dilate quickly!! Just keep walking/bouncing/any of those activities to get things to progress! 😊

Not sure, my friend was 4cm and 50% effaced at 38 weeks, she carried till almost 41 weeks
