Half A Child?

My SO mentioned to me that since I've been pregnant whenever he meets people or talks about kids he mentions that he has 1 1/2 kids lol! I asked what that meant cuz i always say 1 and 1 on the way. He said since our daughter isnt here yet and we don't technically have to "parent" her yet that its kind of like having half a child. Like she exists, but not in the same way as our son.. I guess i get where hes coming from. So i guess until she arrives, i have 1 1/2 kids lol
