How to insert tampons? Please tell me your opinion

Okay, I'm fifteen and a virgin. So the thought of sticking something up my you know is a bit, eh. I want to start trying to use tampons but I'm nervous. I hear that you can't feel it unless you put it in wrong. I trust you guys' opinions so could you tell me like- uh- geez this is embarrassing. What to do? My mom was like "well you just put it in" talking to my sister (there was more but I don't remember.)  I don't want to ask my mom because it's embarrassing, so if you guys could please tell me. I've read that I should try using a mini one but my mom doesn't get those. 😳 Thank you for any info, I appreciate it very much.

There are tampons you can buy that are is a plastic stick that helps you put the tampon in I used them as a teenager that's what Mum got me till I was comfortable to use the other tampons. I forget the name but here is Australia they are in a blue box and are longer then the other tampon boxes only because of the plastic stick thing.

Hope you can find something like these at you home, if a tampon feels uncomfortable then I'd change back to a pad and try again on your next period.

Just push all the way in till you feel it hitting something then push the tamping out of the applicator pull out the applicator

I always used the Tampax brand. They have ones in a plastic applicator that makes it easier to insert. The cardboard ones work as well I just think they are a bit more uncomfortable when inserting. The box has directions on it for how to insert that I learned from. You will probably have to try a couple times to find a position that works for you. You can squat/sit on the toilet or stand with one leg up and insert that way. It's true that you can't feel it unless it's in wrong. If you feel it just remove and try again.

First of all don't let it be embarrassing it's ok if you have a vagina you bleed. And just relax or it won't go in. I'm a virgin too and have had my period for awhile. I once felt your pain. Put a leg on the toilet and slowly push it is your Vagina. Ya I said it vagina cause we girls all got it. When your finger that is holding your tampon is very close to the outside of your vagina push the end of the applicator so the yampon comes out. Then pull the applicator out

A common mistake I had my first couple of times was starting to pull out the applicator while pushing the tampon in, leading to the tampon not being fully inserted. Make sure the keep the applicator in place (go in until the middle of the applicator is even with your skin, hold it there and push bottom half to insert it. It gets easier with practice.

There's instructions in the box. But easiest way for starting out is to sit in the toilet, put applicator in until your fingers touch your vagina, push tampon in and pull out applicator. It's really easy and nothing to get yourself worked up over, or be nervous about

It'll probably take a few tries for you to get the hang of putting it in without feeling it. For me, I can't sit on the toilet or put one leg up on it, I can always still feel it in me. I have to squat to be able to put it in correctly and not feel it.

I use tampax pearl but super if you can't get the minis is best. Anything bigger will be uncomfortable your first time. I use them, matter of fact, I have one in now and the only way I can tell I'm on my period at the moment is I am super hungry and I'm having periodic cramps. The thing is, putting it in wrong means it is either crooked or not in enough. Trust me, it can fit all the way up there with some space left. If you're tense, your muscles down there will be tight and it will make it more uncomfortable, and it will feel like it is hurting. Relax and don't do one leg on the toilet thing first time because it's easier to put it in crooked that way. There will be some pressure almost every time you put it in whether your flow is heavy or light, but when you put it in, try walking around in the bathroom, not a lot just 2-3 steps. If it feels like it chaffs or hurts, it is likely in wrong. If it feels comfortable but you can feel it near where you put it in, then you haven't put it deep enough... I'm rambling sorry, but I want you to understand everything so you won't feel unprepared

I am also a virigin and I ise tampons. The hardest part is the lack of knowledge you have of your body, i think. The best thing to do is just relax, and explore your body. It doesn't have to be sexual, just feel around down there. The more you do it, the more comfortable you will be putting the tampon in, but make sure your hands are clean, and don't force the tampon.
