What Formula to buy??

Question

FTM here and I'm so lost what kind of formula should I buy for my newborn? He's not due till the end of May but I wanted to starting stocking up now. Please no comments about breast is best and all that!! I have my reasons (personal and medical) and won't be moved and really don't care. Thanks :)

There is no shame in wanting/needing to use formula, fed is best :). I wouldn't stock up just yet on one sort because you never know whether your baby will like the brand you choose. I never had any issues with the formula I use which is called Aptamil but I don't know if it has the same name where you are, as I am in Switzerland

My little guy did best with enfamil newborn or enfamil infant! I got free samples in the mail and then used those to see which one he responded to best though because all babies are different and some have made him very fussy and gassy (especially enfamil for fussiness and gas and all of the similac varieties). Be wary about stocking up because if your baby doesn't respond well to whatever kind you stock up on that would be a lot of wasted money! I've heard good things about similac pure bliss too.

Costco has the best formula for the BEST price. The membership is so worth it. Thier Kirkland brand diapers, wipes, infant formula and other formulas are amazing and very affordable. They also sell honest company baby wash and butt rash cream. The cutest little baby outfits in all sizes for only 8 bucks. It's amazing. Highly recommend

Well. ..here's the thing. .. all of them are good. . However,  it depends on YOUR baby. .
We ended up going through about 7 formulas until we settled on gerber soy because that's the only one our daughter would eat without puking everything out.. it's a trial and error kinda thing. 
We originally started on similac sensitive, then went trough 6 others. .. 
I personally think it's best to start on similac sensitive since is the easiest on their tummies... 
Baby's pediatrician will also help with this. ..as they have plenty of samples to give in case baby doesn't react good on a certain kind. .

Definitely wait and see which one your baby likes to stock up b/c you could be wasting a lot of money as formula is not cheap!

I would hold off on buying any just yet.. I wasn't able to BF, the hospital started him on Similac advanced, and gave me tons of it to take home.. eventually, on recomendation of his pedi we switched to Similac Sensitive.. and prior to giving birth, tons of cans, all different brands flooded our mailbox!

Mine was on similac neosure because he was a premie then we went to enfamil gentle due to some reflux we also used off brand of the gentle and he had no problems switching between them

We had issues with formula too. My daughter wasn't picky, but she ended up having a milk protein allergy. We were stuck with a couple of cans of formula that we couldn't use and the stuff isn't cheap. I would wait to stock up. You can get samples from Similac and Enfamil if you join their email list.
