Walmart return policy?

Question

I have a couple gifts that were received during my baby shower without an attached a gift receipt. I believe that they were purchased at Walmart, but I don't want to directly ask the person who gave them to me because then they would know that I am returning it.

Does anybody know what happens if I try to return it to Walmart and it isn't a Walmart item?

They will scan it and if it's not their item they just tell you.

Yes I would take it in but it is possible someone bought the gift from a 3rd party off Walmarts website. My sister bought a pack 'n play off walmarts website. When my cousin took it in to return they said it wasn't in their system. Kind of like Amazon- Walmart allows other people to sell through their site. Hopefully that makes sense! Good luck

Wal-Mart will just tell you that its not an item they carry. If it is, you just explain that you got it as a gift, but no receipt. You'll have to show your ID and type in your social for return purposes, but other than that shouldn't have a problem. However, depending on the store, the amount can either be given cash back or on a store gift card.

If it's not from Walmart they'll tell you it's not from there and they can't return it. If it is from there you can get the money back at the lowest price on a gift card to Walmart!

When they scan it they will know if it's their item or not. If not they will just give it back to you. Worth a shot! I did it after my bridal shower

Look at the tags. You can enter tje number online if its from walmart description of the item should come up
