Does your 6 month old imitate sounds?

I was just looking at the milestone chart that shows imitating sounds as a mastered skill for 6 month olds. My LO makes plenty of sounds but doesn't seem to be imitating. Just wanted to see if anyone else's baby hasn't gotten to this point yet.

No. Those are guidelines. Don't read to much into them.  My daughter is almost 6 months old and she just now stood on her butt unassisted. She laughs, giggle, says "ahhh" say "hayyy". But she does not imitate us or any sounds for that matter.  Every baby is different...

My daughter immitates our dog. Our dog is whines a lot if she wants something and now my daughter is replying to her with this high squeel. Super cute but that's about it 😂

Every baby is different. I saw rolling over on here and my pediatrician told us that generally starts between 6-9 months while some babies are sooner and some can be later. So I feel like this list can't be completely correct. My girl will occasionally look in my eyes and hold a serious conversation where we take turns but she never imitates my noises no matter how much I try. There's so much for her to learn right now that we just celebrate her milestones and try not to compare her to other babies or lists. If there's a problem or delay I'm sure we will talk about it at her check ups.

My baby is 5 months and does every listed on that picture, even the 6 months. He jabbers so much, sometimes when adults are having conversation he'll start jabbering so loud and you can't hear over him. One day he was jabbering and I said, "oh really?" and he copied me and said, "oh really?" I was like your such a smart a**.  Lol
