What was your first reaction to your period?

I was excited. Got mines at 11. All my other close female family members had theirs around 7-9 yrs old. Now it's a different story, wish it was gone FOREVER!

I was 13. I remember going to take my morning pee before I started getting ready for school, and I pulled my panties down, was shocked at all the blood for a sec, then hollered through the house, "MOMMM, I THINK I GOT MY PERIOD!" Then she rushed around the house trying to find me a pad, because we were already running late! Lol

I was at track practice in 8th grade and got it and freaked out. I didn't have any pads or tampons and I was too embarrassed to ask anyone for some so I rolled up toilet paper and stuck it in my undies 😩 I was self conscious the whole time I was at practice

Lol I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the first day of school starting 6th grade. And I calmly woke up my mom and told her I was bleeding.  She then came to the bathroom with me and explained how to use pads. I was so nervous I fainted and ended up in the bathtub with her leaning over me asking if I was okay. Lol 😩
