changed nose piercing to Ring

Hi gals. I've had my nose pierced for nearly a year now and yesterday i changed my stud to a ring. I've heard with some people they get a reaction to the rings and get a pimple-like bubble on it. I think i'm starting to get that. How would i reduce it as i have work?
