Is age nothing but a number????

Question

Just curious to know if the old saying  age ain't nothing but a number is true or not. I have this guy that 20 yrs old, who's been trying to convince me to let him take me out on a date. I am very hesitant to go on a date with him because I am 27 yrs old. So I am just curious to know whether or not i should let the age difference bother me from allowing him to take me on a date?? I never dated or talked to someone younger then me. Any advice is welcome here on this thread please and thank you.

I was single in between marriages in my 30s. Guys in their 20s were eager and fun, but not relatable. Men in their 30s were mostly married. The others were bachelors or deadbeats. Both were frustrating. Men in their 40s were pushy and too eager to settle down. Men in their 50s+ were kind and generous, yet not relatable. Also it made me uncomfortable that they were too close to my fathers age. It personally weirded me out.

It wasn't until I gave up I met my husband on a whim through mutual friends/family. I'm not sure how we hadn't met before. He's 5 yo than me. We are matched well, but even 5 years can be annoying.

All that said I'm a huge proponent of 1-4 years older or 1-4 years younger. Between life experience and things in common.

Needless to say some people find love in unexpected circumstances. So at the end of the day ...it's not my business.

So long as both people or all people involved are consenting adults it's all good. I dated a man that was literally 28 years older than me. My bf now is ten years my senior.

My SO and i have a massive age gap and we and the people in our lives dont see the difference at all. 
However its far easier for a woman to date an older man than the othee way round because we mature way beyond our years (generally) 
I say go on the date, he might just surprise you and be exactly what you need in your life right now. And hey its just a date enjoy it and let us know how it goes!

I'm 23 and my partner is 34 we believe it is just a number we don't think about the age gap because our connection is amazing. I say if you like the guy then go on that date. x
