Found a receipt

Okay I'll probably get a lot of crap for this, but my boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 years and the other day he lost his wallet. We were looking for it everywhere, then while he was at work I found it and there was a receipt for a "diamond ring" in the pocket of the wallet! I've been waiting for this for a while now and I was so excited I wanted to cry, but I know he'd be so upset if I knew. Do I bring it up? I truly didn't mean to snoop, we're very open and share our money, so just wanted to check if we had any cash in the pocket and saw the receipt. I just needed to share because I can't contain my excitement/guilt ☺️😔 Has this happened to anyone else? Did it ruin the surprise or moment for you at all??
