Blue nursery for a girl?

I'm not really all about gender roles and I have picked my nursery but I do not know the sex of my baby yet. 
I sent a picture to my mother in law and she said it wasn't girly enough if the baby is a girl? 
I personally don't agree but what do you guys think?
I would paint the walls blue as well and decorate with bears and woodsy things. I'm not a fan of girly things 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it's cute. I'd do it. It doesn't have to be "girly." I mean the baby doesn't even remember it and what harm would it do? None. Go ahead and decorate it how you would like.

I didn't find out the gender of my baby and had the same mindset as you in that I wasn't very "girly girly". I painted my nursery duck egg blue and had a woodland theme with some deers and foxes and rabbits. Lots of people told me it wouldn't suit a girl but I had a girl and I think it's perfect for her. Since she's been born I've added some pink bunting and a pink tepe and it works really well. Do what you want

I feel the same way i think you can do any damn color you want my favorite color is blue so why does that mean its only meant for boys? Its super cute!!

Babies don't know what colour their gender is supposed to like. It's us adults who impose that on them. Babies like bears and woodland creatures. I don't see a problem. Do what you want! X
