nervous picking..?

This sounds really weird but I'm wondering if other people have this issue or know what it is and how to deal with it.

I don't know why but I always pick. Sometimes I'm not even nervous. But it's not just with acne I'll pick at the stubble on my legs, pubic hair, and my eyebrows.

Thanks for any help and advice. Just not sure about how to deal with it. I try to stop myself but I never realize when I'm doing it.

Perhaps its your way of dealing with "extra energy"? Personally I am always fidgeting in some way (ie. bouncing my leg or playing with my pencil, etc) but this could just be your brain's way of focusing. Have you tried chewing gum?

I get the same thing except with the hair on my head... it's really embarrassing because now I have weird tufts of hair where the hair is growing back. I try to stop myself too but it's really hard because I do it subconsciously when I'm stressed.

It's a form of anxiety and a way of dealing with our stressors.
