PMS symptoms

Can PMS symptoms change from month to month or as we age? I am about a week out from my expected AF and I am having cramps, back aches, and very tender swollen breasts. I usually have cramps and lower back pains a day or two before my period starts but I have never in my life had my breasts hurt this badly. Even when they aren't being bumped or binded they feel heavy, sore, and sometimes tingly. Could these be new PMS symptoms? It is too early to take a pregnancy test.
