What does unmedicated labor feel like?

I know it's different for everyone, but can I get your best description of what labor feels like?

I had my baby two days ago. It was my first homebirth with a midwife so obviously no pain meds what so ever. I will not lie to you and say it wasn't that bad. It was excruciating.. there is no way to describe the amount of pain birthing a child is or a way to prepare you for what is going to happen. On that note, I am 5'0 and before pregnancy I was 125lbs. My son was born at 41.1 weeks at 10.7lbs he was a big boy. :) I made it through and I have never felt so proud of doing this in my life. I would absolutely do it again if we have another baby. As soon as baby pops out, it's all over! I didn't tear or rip at all with my baby because it is what our bodies were meant to do. I birthed my son standing up with one foot on the side of the tub and strattling the toilet lol..

I was induced which from what I've been told is worse than unmedicated labor but contractions are no joke. It was like the worst period cramps mixed with the worst diarrhea cramps I've ever had it got to the point where I felt like my uterus was going to rip like it was pulling apart

If feels like horrible period cramps before transition. During transition it feels like someone is trying to murder you. It doesn't last long. Once you're ready to push it feels euphoric. When you're pushing the baby out there's pressure and it feels good to push.

I was induced and no pain meds, it's do able if  you trust your body and mind. It sounds dumb but mind over matter is what I kept saying, my body is built for babies I can do this. Start to finish it was 5hours...it hurts like hell right at the end but the sight of my littlest took it all a way. 7 lbs 6 oz 21.5 inches

I felt like it was more intense than painful. I thought about how it was muscles working and that each contraction was a wave of effort bringing me closer to meeting my son. My labor was quite fast for a first timer, with six hours of contractions and pushing. I only spent two hours in the hospital and gave birth in water.

I had a team of people helping me that I felt very safe with and I was confident my body was meant to do this. I felt like I had really prepared well too, by being in the best physical shape possible (I literally was weight lifting 24h before my son was born). Just like any other physical activity requiring endurance, you focus on the small units as they come, and don't focus on how far away you are from the finish line when you've just started.

I have had two children both with out medication and it hurts like hell, but that being said I plan on doing it again the next without medication. Though my husband thinks I should get an epidural next time since he thought it was way to much pain. Lol 😂 It's hard, it hurts, you might wants meds but by that time for me it was almost over. The last hour is the worst imo. Once I started pushing the pain was a lot less or maybe it was just that I knew here was a light at the end of the tunnel and that allowed me to focus on something else. Once baby is out, the pain is done and without an epidural you are able to move around get up, shower right away. Everyone is different and what worked for me won't necessarily work for the next person.  At the end of it no matter how it happens your little one is in your arms and that's all that matters.
