Navy wife 🇺🇸💕 how are the other wives or active duty members handling the service and a family at the same time?

How does everyone deal with family so far away? Raising kids? My husband is in the Navy and he plans on making a career out of this. I'm perfectly fine with that but I just want to see how everyone handles their everyday life?

I feel for you, Unless on shore duty, your husband is probably away half the year every year.

We aren't navy, but Marines, stationed overseas. We spent the longest 1.5 years apart. It was so hard, I'm now pregnant due pretty soon, spouse will likely deploy once we get back to the states and I'm trying to wrap my head around it. I'm used to it already, but idk how I'll be with a baby yet! We try our hardest, and our marriage is strong.

There are so much divorces in the military, sometimes it just doesn't work out or some people cheat, or don't communicate right. I hope I'm not to be added to this statistic.

We are currently stationed overseas and it was hard in the beginning especially with the time difference. I just make sure to talk to my family at least once a week or so. We video chat and keep in constant contact via text. I have made some really great friends where we are and they are really my family away from family.

I'm separated and remarried to my wonderful husband,  however my daughters father is in the army and currently on his second deployment in Egypt.  Being a military spouse can feel like being a single mother at times.  Eventually you end up just getting used to it.  When he is there to help it will be that much sweeter,  considering you're used to doing it minus him.  Idk how old the kid/kids are , but our daughter is old enough to FaceTime and text , Skype.. all of that tech crap and they talk everyday.  That's help a lot with her happiness with him being so far away.  Make sure you have a good support system and never be too proud to ask for help.  Raising children with a military man can be a daunting,  lonely,  stressful task . The more support you can find the better.  The wonderful thing is the military offers a lot of free programs , groups ect for mama's... look into them !

Like any other day. It's really not that different other than your spouse will be gone for training and you may be at a base far from family but you can call or skype
