Okay, there are a lot of things I could talk about when it comes to sexism. But subtle sexism really fucking infuriates me. I went out for my bf's birthday, that's us in the pic. It was a really hot (for England) and there were guys walking around topless and no one batted an eyelid. But everyone decided to look at me with disgust for walking around with no shoes! Are you serious?? Literally ppl pretend gagging to their friends and staring/pointing. Bare in mind, in plenty of cultures ppl walk around bare feet but this is a big deal? I'm not one to usually be fazed by others opinions but it really annoyed me. Also as soon as I passed this one topless guy I saw a girl in a full on bathing suit 👙 reading and minding her own business. And ppl were giving her awful looks but again, not a single comment about the exposed guy. I'm annoyed. Constantly being policed for what we wear and don't wear but guys, well they can do whatever the fuck they want! It's deffo not the first time and won't be the last but IM TIRED. Such little pointless things don't need to be a big deal, girls can wear bathing suits, crop tops, skirts that don't reach their ankles, no shoes, big girls can wear clothes that show off their belly, cleavage is okay, and most importantly, we can and should be able to wear nothing if guys are allowed to. Just let girls do what they want.
