I heard my 9 month old son gagging every couple minutes which was unusual (he usually gags sometimes if he puts a toy too far back in his mouth. All his toys are age appropriate) so I went to check on him and I find a tissue in his pack n play all shredded and chewed up😳 He was ok but I checked his mouth for any and there was a good sized wad on his tongue which was causing the gagging. I made a hook with my pinky and got it out. Thank God it hadn't reached his throat!! I thought that was the end but thought to myself while feeding him his bottle, "what if he swallowed some?" Well I was right cause after he burped, he threw up a couple oz of milk along with pieces of the tissue. I double checked his mouth again and another smaller wad got stuck on the side of his tongue that had come back up and I got that out as well. I'm so glad he got it out. I'm hoping that was all of it. My poor guy I can't think of how this happened. How a tissue got in there?! I'm with him all day and never saw him grab one. They are out of his reach too. My husband uses the tissues too so idk I'm guessing one accidentally got dropped in there. Not saying by him. It could've been either of us. Bit of a scare this morning I'm just glad my boy is ok and something like this doesn't happen again. No matter how careful I've been, this still happened🙁I'm so used to just putting him in his play yard with nothing but his toys in there, I didn't even see the tissue. I've def learned from this and will always double check everything from now on.
