compression hose while road traveling?

My Obgyn's nurse told me that I should wear compression hose every time I travel no matter if I am flying or driving. I have a few trips coming up and I was wondering if anybody else was told this by their doctor? I was also told that I would need to wear actual panty hose styles because the knee highs will cut you off at the knees.

I wear when I'm going to be on my feet for a long period of time, flying or in a car for more than a couple of hours

We only recommend them for long distances and we never recommend the pantyhose (over the belly ones) we tell patients to get the knee or thigh high ones...it certainly doesn't hurt to use them, but I wouldn't compress the abdomen...

My Dr told me to wear them when I take a 15 car ride in a couple weeks...really need to go find some haha

Yes I would wear them. I wear them around the house jut because I have varicose veins and it helps to keep them from getting worse. But on trips if you are sitting for extended periods, definetly wear them to keep any blood clots from happening.

I haven't been told that but it makes sense since you're more at risk for blood clots while pregnant
