When did you all tell your employer???

Question

So I'm currently 8 weeks along, and just just found out that as of this coming Friday, I won't have a job. I've applied at a bunch of places and currently have interviews lined up for this week- I know not to mention anything specific in the interview, but I'm wondering when I should tell them?

Say I get hired at 9 weeks, should I wait a month? We are waiting until 12/13 weeks to officially announce besides immediate family, so I suppose that could work.

This is just the worst time to be looking for a new job, and obviously I want to make sure my benefits/leave are going to be good enough, without sounding suspicious 🙄 lol!

Any thoughts or comments about when you all told your employer would be appreaciate do! ❤

I told mine super early but they were like family and I also had all day sickness so I couldn't hide it.  Otherwise I would have waited as long as I could have.

I told her right away...but she's also my friend, I babysit her kid.

It depends on your job. I told mine immediately because I work in surgery and there are cases I can't do.

If your starting a new job I would wait until your at least 12 weeks or so pregnant. what's the rush? Once you tell them they can't fire you for it. Just be on the safe side and wait until your past the first trimester.

I started a new job at 16 weeks and I told them 2 weeks later at 18 weeks. I would recommend waiting though until you've been with your job at least a month. Mine took it really well, but they're a very family friendly company. You just have to feel them out. But definitely don't say anything until after you start.

I told my boss at only 6weeks because I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and was not allowed to do a lot, and I work at a daycare.

Haha I told my work when I was six months in.  As soon as I told them then I really popped.

I told my boss that I was pregnant a few days after I told my boyfriend and once my doctor gave me my work papers to hand them I have them the papers right away I was 8 weeks pregnant
