SO MAD!! WHAT DO I EVEN DO?!?!

Question

I scheduled an appointment for today to go to Planned Parenthood for a refil of birth control pill. I have been on it for 1 year with only some mild side effects like weight gain and shorter periods. 
Well, last night was very stressful (for family reasons) and I knew my blood pressure was high without even checking. But I've never had a problem with it before so I thought it would come down on its own. 
I woke up, ate and left for my 9 o'clock appointment. Everything was going smooth. I went back to the room so she could take my vitals. She said my blood pressure was high, which it was. Because of that they wouldn't give me a refil on my pill. They then proceeded to push an implant and/or a shot at me. I said no, and sat up an appointment for the middle of next week, but my pills run out Sunday. I don't have money for the shot ($200 with visit cost) because we don't have insurance. And I'm uncomfortable with the idea of a foreign object stuck in my arm. I left feeling like I had no options. So frustrated. Can you please share your experiences with non pill birth control? I don't want to mess up my body...

Depo has way more side effects, and varies person to person all my friends were on it and gained a lot of weight and had heavy periods, while I was on it I didn't gain any weight no periods slight change in appetite only real i noticed and others around me was the change in my mood I was really mean and b****y majority of the time but most of the time my silly self I was on it for 3 yrs straight.
 I was in nuvaring it made me cramp a lot wasn't on it for long to see a lot of side effects.
I also was on the pill I always forgot to take it.

Personally the depo shot and nexplanon made me psycho and I gained a whole lot of  weight. I personally loved the idea of nuva ring, but my vagina didn't agree with it (one of the side effects that's usually mild and is only for when you first start out ended up being full blown for me and I could barely touch myself to wipe!) the nuva ring is a super cool concept though! Definitely recommend it.

I've gone for a month without the pill before and just got back on it the next month. There were a few moodiness problems but other than that it was fine. Just use alternate protection until you get back on it. I've done that multiple times and have never gotten pregnant

I gained a shit ton of weight with the implant. I also felt CRAZY while on it. I broke out like crazy. It's was just a real dark time for me and I've been a year off of it and still my body keeps changing. It really really messed me up.

I HATED the implant. It was awful! I had it twice, so six years. I didn't realize until got off of it in January that it's what was causing my weight gain, severe fatigue, horrible nausea, dizziness, brain was always cloudy. I didn't feel like myself at all. I don't recommend the implant to anyone but everyone is different.
