I want to start birth control soon but I'm a little over my weight goal and I heard BC causes weight gain. Should I wait to start till I have my weight under control?

Birth control actually made me lose weight. I'm already pretty petite and It's only 5 pounds but I maintain this weight and I don't always eat healthy

Your choice but I did not gain weight from the pill. I have heard the shot and the implant cause weight gain more.

I've heard it works less effectively if you're above a certain weight. Maybe that's just the patch.
