physical altercation while pregnant?

I haven't told my family that I am expecting. But I just got into a physical altercation with my brother because he kissed my son on the mouth while he's already currently under investigation for recording a male using the restroom. I snatched my son away and then he pushed me. I started hitting him and then he punched me twice and continued to push me. I passed my son off to someone else and then he followed them trying to do the same and began to push them too when they tried to keep my son away from him. Is it over dramatic to press charges on my own brother or should I do what's right? I'm seriously sick of him..

I didn't think the situation would get this serious since we're both adults but it got to the point where I was literally going to kill him. He's 6'3 I'm only 5'6 and he's way bigger than me. It's either I fight back and put my unborn baby in danger or I let him do whatever he wants..

It's scary to press charges against a family member. So I understand if there is any hestiation for that reason. But if the only thing holding you back is that some might think you're being over dramatic, charge away! 
It is not over dramatic to hold people accountable for their actions. It is never okay to attack someone physically. 
And I don't know your family, or brother, but it sounds like he has some issues/things going on and the more people hold his feet to the fire and hold him accountable the better of he, and your entire, family will be.
At the end of the day, do what you need to to keep yourself and your family safe.

Well honestly he doesn't know you're pregnant so idk if he would get in trouble for THAT part. BUT he laid his hands on you first.. you shouldn't have gone back at him but you did. So you're both wrong but he need to learn to listen and respect what you want for your child as a mother..

Ultimately you know your brother. And something like that made you snap. I think you answered your own question. Something makes you feel that was wrong in everyway . Regardless of what hall have going the child is innocent and if you felt you had to protect him you need to ride with your gut feels and protect yourself and your child regardless of who it is
