We went about a year, maybe more when I was pregnant with our first daughter and then after she was born. I was on pelvic rest and then I bled for 3 months after she was born.

It really wasn't a big deal for either of us. We were just excited to finally have a baby. :)

We humped like rabbits for years (at LEAST once, if not two or three times a day) but our relationship is not based on sex. Its based on friendship and intimacy.

In the long run, sex isn't the thing that will last so, while important, its not and nor should it be, the end all be all thing that people make it into.

Also, I know how to take care of myself and I am pretty damn good at it. Ha ha!
