Birth control pills???

Question

Is there a certain brand of birth control pills that are the best?

Is there any symptoms that come with being on the pill? Weight gain? Acne?

Thanks! I've never been on any birth control pills, I was on depo for awhile and I experienced some weight gain and a little acne increase. I currently have the Paragard IUD but I was thinking about getting a pack of birth control pills so I can skip my period while I'm on vacation in June. Has anyone done this before? How does it work?

The short answer is no. Each birth control brand/method affects each woman differently because it all depends on how your body reacts to it. 
If you want to switch methods and skip a period, I'd consult your doctor first.

I'm on microgestin fe 1/20 and it's been great for me! I have gained about 5 lbs but nothing noticeable, my period have also been very light and from time to time I get a hormone headache. I've been on 3 different birth control pills and this is the best one so far. It all depends on your body though. I'm sure if you talk to your gyno they'll get what they think is best!

I'm on quasense. Quasense makes you skip 3 periods. It's a 3 months supply and it comes in a cute little pink thing. I've lost weight on this and the only bad thing is that I had cramp and back pains. But quasense is the way too go :)
