when should i take pregnancy test if my periods are irregular? My period didn't start for three months and I had unprotected sex with my husband on March 22, 2017. When should I check pregnancy test? It says 19-20 day after unprotected sex but it came out negative...

My periods are super irregular. My cycles range from 35-55 days. I used OPK's to determine when I ovulated (they are cheap on Amazon). Once I got a positive OPK, then I would take a pregnancy test about 12 days after. I would keep testing for the next 6 days or so. 
Checking my CM was super helpful as well to predict ovulation. 
The combo of these two tracking methods helped us to conceive in less than 4 months with all our pregnancies.
