Umm but it does matter. chlamydia is not the same as herpes. One is curable , the other is not. 
Sooo I would in THEORY take a risk  (with a condom ) and have sex with someone with chlamydia, but I would NOT with someone that has herpes.

I absolutely would not. Just because something is treatable or curable wouldn't matter to me. Many STDs are not, and I would never risk it. That's why I will still continue to get tested fairly regularly even though I'm married and my husband and I have been together for 8 years and he's the only man I've ever been with.
