SHOULD I WEAR A TAMPON?

Question

I currently wear pads. The summer is coming up and I have never worn a tampon. Usually I don't do much swimming but I just recently got a new pool. I want to start wearing tampons but I'm scared to insert them. What should I do?

They aren't that bad once you get used to them. Some people struggle to insert them the first time. I honestly had to have my mom do it for me the first time but after that I could do it fine. What works best for me is squatting like I'm going to play leap frog lol.

Tampons are so easy to get used to! Especially if you are using plastic applicators. You can also lube up the tip of the applicator to make insertion even easier. Avoid wood/cardboard applicators at all costs. They are much more difficult and painful to insert.

Tampons are great! I remember only wearing pads and literally stayed home when my family went to florida and i didn't go because i was on my period. I was scared too, but it's so easy. But please be on the toilet when you do it, in a sitting position as if you were peeing. I did my first one with my legs spread open in the mirror .... oh my god. Anyways don't be nervous, and just make sure you don't leave them in longer than 8/9 hours:) Wearing a pad when swimming can be uncomfortable and just give you anxiety about wondering about blood in the pool on your bathing suit etc etc.. and just straight up uncomfortable feeling blood come out. I would really try them out!
