How do I know if I'm having a contraction?

So I woke up today and I was feeling a little pain on my lower abdomen but I drank orange juice and it went away, how can I know if that was a contraction?
My Dr. told me to go to the hospital if I felt any contractions this weekend, I honestly don't even know how they feel, this is my first child btw. Can someone tell me? Thanks! ^^

Contractions start at the top of your uterus down to your cervix and sometimes wrap around your lower back. They last 60-90 seconds and are at regular intervals....meaning equal amounts of time apart....They get stronger and closer together as time passes

For me they look like this lol😅. Even when I was smaller I could see my stomach looking weird and feeling really tight.

If the pain was when you moved it could just be round ligament pain!! I have Braxton hicks and it really just feel like a period cramp that doesn't stay around too long.
